Durga Puja/Diwali Specials 2014 for the Eastern Zones

Like every year, a slew of special trains are being announced by various Indian Railways zones this year in 2014 to clear extra rush of passengers on the occasion of the country’s biggest festival season, Durga Puja and Diwali (Deepawali). This section will be dealing with the trains announced for the Eastern Zones of the country: Eastern Railway ER, South Eastern Railway SER, Northeast Frontier Railway NER, North Eastern Railway NER and East Coast Railway (ECoR). All trains originating from any part of the country and terminating at these zones will be included here. Click here for Diwali specials from Northern Railway. All trains are weekly services unless otherwise mentioned.

For Premium trains booking will open only 10 days in advance only through IRCTC, no concessions or refunds allowed and will have Dynamic fare structure where ticket prices will rise according to demand. Food charges included in fare. Fully AC premium trains will have Rajdhani fares as the starting point for their fares (base fare) while regular premium trains will have Superfast fares as their base fares. This base fare will keep on increasing as demand increases.
